Indomart Tissue Giveaway Digital Marketing Technique

As I walked past Indomart Entrance, I was greeted by a sign saying "Sign-up today and get pack of tissue" It worked, I stopped signed up for my Indomart online membership which promises that I would get cupons and more online.
Easy 10 fields; Address, Name etc... and Wala..its done.

Is this the beginning of an Indomart E-commerce strategy? We won't know for now. Regardless simple freebies work, and Kudos for going onground to grab digital acquisition for engagement later on.
